Jubilee's first litter produced ten puppies. We kept Clara from this litter. You can learn more about her and other puppies whose owners have sent us updates on what they are up to:
Clara
Clara was the tenth born puppy in Jubilee's first litter and the one we chose to keep. Clara was her litter name and we loved it so we kept it. We'll be keeping a puppy from this current litter as well. Clara is extremely bonded to us and to her Mama Jubilee.
Clara is a blue girl who has become quite silver lately. We love her color and we love her natural tail. She's super affectionate and loves to cuddle. She is happy to let her Mama be the boss but also will tease her by pouncing on her and loves to initiate wresting matches. She's very athletic and can zoom through our forest so fast!
As this litter was born during covid, Clara didn't get the level of socialization our other dogs have had and she's shy around strangers as a result. We are working on that. She's a country dog like her Mama and loves to romp in our yard and forest. One of her favorite things to do is to watch our backyard bunnies and chickens. Clara is also the first dog we have had who loves to watch TV, especially animals. She loves to come to work with us at Solar Roadways and is a sometimes model on our Solar Road Panels.
Kaylee
Kaylee was one of the smaller girl pups in Jubilee's first litter. She showed outstanding conformation and very high marks for intelligence and focus. We could tell she would not reach her full potential in less active home situation, so we matched her with a home in California in which she would be offered a high level of training and adventures with an active young couple with other pets.
She is now a service dog in training and helps her humans train and rehabilitate reactive dogs. She is wildly athletic and enjoys swimming in the ocean, dock diving, hiking, and doing tricks such as weave polls. She has earned her AKC trick dog intermediate title and she took second place in the first leg of her very fist AKC rally novice competition.
Kaylee has had her eyes tested and received normal results like her parents. She has also had her hips and elbows tested via OFA. Her elbows were normal and her hips tested EXCELLENT! That makes us so happy. Congratulations Kaylee!
Tuukka
Tuukka was the second-born of Jubilee’s first litter, his original name was Rooster. We named him Tuukka after former award-winning Boston Bruin goalie Tuukka Rask. He was relatively easy to train as Julie had worked on potty training before we took over. He is extremely affectionate and loves to be with us and his buddy Harper, another Standard Poodle we took over guardianship from a friend. He is completely socialized, loves to greet other dogs and people, including little children. Tuukka is our third Standard Poodle and he is the first one we’ve owned who gobbles down his kibble.
Audrey Grace
Audrey Grace
Audrey Grace was originally named Annie in the puppy litter. She has a white letter "A" on her chest which she proudly sports. We decided we'd call her Audrey, (and she has the pearls to go along with that name) and we picked Grace for her middle name in honor of her mother Jubilee Grace.
Audrey was completely housebroken when she came to us and quickly learned to use the door jingle bells by watching her older poodle brother. We were looking for a poodle of smaller stature than her tall, 62-lb. brother, and she is just right for us at about 50 lbs. and several inches shorter. The two dogs bonded immediately and it was as if she had always been a part of our family. We love her natural tail and prefer a fluffier doodle clip. She enjoys being brushed and is always cooperative and eager to please.
Audrey is an even-tempered dog with keen focus who loves to cuddle. She's gregarious, playful and entertaining. She has an incredible inclination for hunting and loves to watch out the windows to her large backyard, noticing anything that moves. Her favorite place to go is to the beach. She's a good road trip companion and has had many adventures, including boat, train and tram rides. Audrey is highly motivated by food and loves to carry soft toys around in her mouth. She loves to meet other dogs and new people and loves to play.
Velvet
Velvet is doing great! Her puppy litter name was Cuddles. She too has done some clearing of color with still retaining her beautiful black color. She is loving, athletic, friendly, curious about everything, fun, beautiful, and improving on her obedience. Velvet has gotten her service dog certificate which allows her to fly with us when we travel. My husband frequently brags about her perfect conformation and movement--he thinks she is the best. She weighs about 58 pounds.
